reviews
- This is a nice crock pot overall. i was initially put off by the lightweight inner pan. I am used to a heavy, ceramic-coated pan on my current crock pot.
I do like the trade-off as the pot is not only a slow cooker, but can be used to warm and bake items. This is very handy when you need an extra "oven".
The temperature control is a nice feature, with a nice temp range (150°-450°). You can pick temperatures in increments of 25, so 150°, 175°, 200°, etc.
It has a couple of other neat features, like a timer and the ability to preheat. I did bake some Pillsbury type breakfast rolls in it, and it baked them perfectly, acting like a small electric oven. You may need to adjust your timer as you experiment with cooking times. I set rolls for 12 minutes and they came out perfect - I usually cook them around 10-12 minutes in my fullsize ovens, one is gas the other is electric.
It does heat quickly so it is great for warming and baking. Beyond that it is basically a crock pot (slow cooker) and works great for dishes like chicken or ribs where you want the meat falling off the bone. - This latest version of Crock-Pot replaced our other, older, Crock-Pot. This one has an inner--lighter--container, which is easy to lift and put it in the dishwasher. The control panel has a large display, and is very intuitive to program in high or low, and set a timer. After the timer runs out in decreasing sequence, it automatically switches to warming and another timer starts in increasing sequence. Everything about this appliance is of high quality and ease of use. Very highly recommended!
- This cooker is called a "Multi-Cooker" because it doesn't just cook or roast. It also bakes, which is amazing. It's also very attractive. It's also easy to store when you aren't using it. This is a beautiful crock pot.
