1: Around the chest, from the shoulder blades to above the front legs.

2: Around the belly, the widest part behind the front legs.

3: From the nape of the neck to the base of the tail.

Question: I have a golden retriever and want to get the black one for him but am concerned that the color would attract the sun and make him more hot?

Answer: I have the black one for my Malinois. It does get hot under the vest, but since the vest is a little big on her the air gets through pretty good. I would say if it's going to be a snug fit on your dog and your dog has longer hair, then the black one might make him a bit too warm. 

Question: Having trouble deciding between l and xl. my doberman has a chest of about 27" and neck at about 23". Which vest would fit the best? He is about 97lbs

Answer: Our Doberman (2 year old) is 93 lbs. Neck is 21" and he is 35 around the rib cage. His harness is a large. The back straps adjusts easily to accommodate him.

Question: We have a 5 month doby who weighs 49lbs. we're expecting to get to about 100 lbs. if i order a large will it fit him now? does it adjust down smaller?

Answer: I have one and love it. I adjusted it all the way down for my 44lb pit and it's just a little bit loose, no doubt he'll grow into it. Great buy for a great price!

Question: I have a 50 pound boxer that will get to be around 60-65 pounds. what size is best?

Answer: I have a 65 pound lab that I bought the large for and it is way too big. I have just ordered another one in medium. I suggest getting prime shipping or ordering from Onetigris otherwise Amazon shipping will take you 3 to 4 weeks. I also ordered the coyote brown color so it would be cooler than the black that I have now. It is the best vest I have found and doesn't rub behind the front legs.

Question: Does this bag have the ability to attach bags(like other tacital vests) to it to carry medications, treats etc

Answer: Yes you can if the bag has Velcro 

Question: I have a 4 month old Great Dane who is 75 lbs. large or xl?

Answer: These run large already. I have 63 # Malinois and we have a MED, it is adjusted as small as possible and is a little loose. 

Question: My dog is 35lbs. Should I get a medium?

Answer: I have a 75 pound German Shepherd. I bought a Large. It's a good fit. So for a dog approximately half the size the medium should be a great fit!

Question: Ive got a mut that us mostly beagle but larger, would the medium fit her?

Answer: Medium is pretty big. I have it on a 90lb Staffordshire Terrier. 

Question: Is this made to be a service dog vest or people just use it as a service dog vest?

Answer: It can be whatever you want, but a lot of people use it as a service dog vest because of the velcro.
